Bluecoats School’ Stained Glass Window Project The Bluecoat Primary School’s motto “Bringing Learning to Life” was the inspiration for their Art Club’s faux stained glass window project. Stamford DFAS provided a grant of £250 to cover the cost of all the materials including special paints and acetates which enabled 18 children of all ages to work together to experiment with the materials, design, draw and paint a series of A5 panels depicting all the fun and exciting topics they had been learning about in school. The final individual pieces were then attached to a window to make one large, beautiful, and very colourful, stained glass window in the school’s foyer area. Revealed in July at the school community BBQ, Carol Hines, Head Teacher, Vicki Alderman, Art Club Teaching Assistant and all the children involved expressed  a big thank you to the members of STADFAS for supporting the school and providing this opportunity.
