WELCOME What does membership of The Arts Society Stamford offer? · Ten lectures each year given by the finest lecturers in their field of expertise. · The opportunity to go on two annual holidays, organised with your interests in mind, led by expert guides. · Two special interest mornings per year. · Two away days to places of interest. · An additional Christmas lecture and luncheon. · Quarterly Arts Society magazine. We are the foremost Society for the Arts, in all its guises, in Stamford, and we are affiliated to The Arts Society, formerly known as NADFAS (National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies). We meet on the second Tuesday of each month – except for July and August – in Barn Hill Methodist Church at 10:45 am, for a surprising and stimulating variety of lectures in all aspects of the arts. So whether your interest is in history or music, photography or art, or indeed The Arts as a whole, and you would like to attend a lecture, then why not join like-minded people and expand your horizons? Come along to a lecture as a visitor and see if your appetite has been whetted by the experience, and if it has, then join the other 380 people who are full members of The Arts Society Stamford. It may not change your life, but it will certainly enrich it. Stamford, Lincolnshire by Joseph Mallord William Turner © Usher Gallery Lincoln
